After leading the race for about 20 hours and having a lead of 50 miles Vic Elford and his Porsche 917 retired
leaving a last lap shootout between Jacky Ickx (Ford GT 40) and Hans Herrmann (Porsche 908) for the victory taken by Jacky Ickx.
Vic Elford signed the back art cover and it also has Gérard Larrousse autograph on the back.
